What is the database section for on Yahoo Groups?

if your the owner..you can add this or remove it..a database is something where you can have it setup for your members to add a birthday home address and more..go to your help on top of yahoo and type in database and it will tell you more

the database is used for many different things, and the owner decides access to it under management- under group settings click wed tools- web tools (edit) <-- click the edit- here you can decide what features members have access to and which they don't
