The next Saturday on my calender is 29/03/08.

There seem to be regional differences in the use of "next" in this context. So both possible meanings may be right, depending on where you live!

To avoid confusion, it's better to use the terms "this Saturday" (meaning the first Saturday after you speak) or "a week on Saturday" (for the one after).

5th April 2008 is NEXT Sat

March 29 is the next Saturday. April 5 will be the Saturday after nexr Saturday.

29th March or 5th April depends how you define "next". The one coming or I know a lot of people who would call next Saturday "a week on Saturday" now we are on Thursday lol.
