Question:

What is the deal with Antartica?

Antartica is governed by a treaty, signed by various powerful countries, thatprevents any developments or exploration of its vast natural resources. Given that our government and a few others do not generally have a good track record on defending the enviroment, this could be seen a little curious. It has also been suggested that the real purpose of the Antartica Treaty is to eliminate the chnace of any commercial organization from stumbling onto the "truth" by digging through the ice. What exactly is the "truth", or what could be hiding under the ice? or is Antartica just being protected because Countries feel it is important? So what do you guys/gals think?

  1. The only thing I've heard is that Antarctica was agreed to be the property of no nation in order to prevent any kind of a tactical advantage (since it would be a great staging area for lots of evil things).

  2. Well...the first thing I'd want to look at are the UFO bases that the Germans built during WWII.

  3. I bet aliens and stuff are hidden there in the ice. You know our government is made up of a bunch of FV3K$ (lol) and I'm sure the other countries are too, so even though they want that area for oil and other stuff, they all know what's done there. I can just imagine them in there little meetings saying "We must never let our pawns know what's there!"

    I hate government, lol.

  4. It was an easy treaty to sign, considering that if it were claimed by a nation, it would be almost impossible to defend it.
