I recently flew for the first time in about 20 years. While we were taking off, I would get dizzy at altitude changes and/or turning & sometimes near fainting. Once we would level out, I would be fine. I would also get this feeling like the plane was falling out from under me when climbing altitude. I would also get these feeling during landing. In particular we were arriving in New Orleans & the plane really felt like it had fell out from under me, I got really dizzy, felt my eyes roll back like I was going to faint so I immediately threw my head forward & felt much better. someone told me that when arriving to New Orleans from Miami, you can hit cross winds because of the Gulf, not sure what that is supposed to mean. What is going on? I almost feel like not flying again for the fear of really fainting. I don't remember feeling this way the first time I flew years ago.

  1. you might have a phobea of flying

  2. My niece has similar problems when she flies. Her doctor told her that the pressure changes in the aircraft and altitude cause her heart rate to increase so she has to take something when she flies now. Check with your doctor about it and see what they say.
