  1. haha its cause the olympics are for the best people in the world at each cetrain event. and if they just happen to be pro at their sport so be it. they are the best at it. they decided to change the rules because the usa had no pro's playing for them and we started to go from gold to not placing. and the other teams at this time had pretty much pro players playing for their team so they let started letting people that were pro's play. which is when the usa put together the dream team which dominated because they were the best which is what the olympics are all about. who is the best

    hope i helped

  2. Well, it's the Olympics. The best of the best. I mean, it's the GLOBAL tournament. Of course everyone would send their best people.

  3. GO D-Wade

  4. no way man the olympics are for the best and the best will play

  5. what do you mean how does the US get away with it, every Olympic basketball team is full of pro player not just the NBA but the pro leagues overseas, i doubt any player on a team this year isn't pro

  6. The Olympics hasn't been about amateurs for over thirty years. There are millionaires all over the place, not just basketball. Our college kids can no longer compete with professionals from Europe and Asia. The world wanted our NBA players, so they could compete against us and improve. The Olympics is one huge money grab these days. Marketing and money rule, not sports and competition.
