What is the deal with small breed dogs?!?

I was just wondering, why is it that many small breed dogs sit and their whole body is shaking? Are they cold? Do they need a sweater? It's the most annoying things to me, and I might actually buy a smaller breed dog if they didn't look so idiotic by shaking all the time, with their sad bug-eyes.

  1. Smaller dogs are a lot more strained, sort of, physically. A large dog is steady and would not shake, but small dogs have a lot going on in their little bodies that sometimes they do shake simply because of their size. It is kind of hard to explain, but basically, it is that their muscles are over-working for their size, and they shake due to that. It is strange, but normal.

Smaller dogs are also more likely to be winded up and more alert. A large dog is usually a lot calmer, but a little dog will be more aware of everything going on. If not properly trained, a small dog can easily become fearful, and shake out of excitement. But mostly it is their size.

I hope you realize that not all small breed dogs are the sad little products of over-bred money-sources that so many people use them for. So many of proper toy breeds have thousands of years of history and needful purpose. Don't hate the little guys so blindly. In every group, a handfull of people will ruin everyone's fun. But that doesn't mean the original, healthy little dog's aren't as wonderful as big dogs :)

  2. idk

  3. I dont understand why people are breeding 'teacup dogs' and super small dogs,

They can easily die, and they cost a fortune..

The smallest dog I'm willing to get, is a cocker spaniel, no smaller.

I see what your saying, its pretty annoying.
