Just to point out the logic flaw of squirrellondon's answer.  Yes, Angel station does have the longest escalator BUT what about those stations with lift only access?  What about those which have two or more escalators to the platform... think things through squirrel!

Angel station (on the Northern line) has the longest escalator on the entire Underground system, therefore it stands to reason that this must also be the deepest station.
