  1. my openion is both are different.dictator is not an elected person,he captures power and apply it as he likes.but an American president is an elected person who has a tenure, and his powers are controlled by American congress. He has to observe democratic principles though most time president`s don`t do.

  2. There are too many differences to count.  They're as far as the east is to the west.  If anything, this is an extraordinarily stupid question, because Americans are the best off in the world.  We don't have a bloodthirsty killer with a power trip looming over our necks.  Very few of us live in situations that are commonplace around the world.  This question stems from a warped sense of what well-being is.  Most of us don't live like the stars, but almost none of us live in wooden shacks with metal roofs fumigated with the stink of fecal matter.  Grow up, we don't have it all that bad.

  3. Congress and Judicial System... American Media... Umm the fact there are no mass murders like in Russia or Germany..

  4. nothing

  5. Hard to tell these days.

  6. If B.O. gets elected, then no difference

  7. not much, especially as time goes by

They make decisions without the people's approval all the time

  8. A Dictator serves for as long as he wants and has unlimited powers.

an American president serves for eight years and his powers are checked by the congress and courts.

  9. If he behaves like a dictator publicly he's screwed...big time.

  10. The DIfference is that the American president has very little power and a dictator has all the power.
