Soft drink means a drink that does not contain alcohol, but usually just water, sugar, flavoring and gas CO2. Non-alcoholic beers are not considered soft drinks because they contain so much carbohydrate, just like milk, orange juice and other fruit drinks, even though they have no alcohol, are not considered to be soft drinks.
