  1. Is artificial earth satellite

  2. Anything in orbit that has air and water and food enough to support a crew for an extended period of time and which never comes back down to Earth.

The shuttle is not one because it goes up and comes back down after a short time.

A satellite isn't one because it cannot support a crew.

  3. The most common definition of "orbital station" is a space station in orbit.  A space station differs in most respect from an ordinary artificial satellite in that a station is occupied by a human crew.  It may also be a base for other orbital operations.

A much less common definition of "orbital station" is the orbit shape and position assigned to a particular satellite.  For example, someone wanting to launch a communication satellite will receive an assignment of position in the geostationary belt from international arbiters.  That would be called its orbital station.  The spacecraft must conduct a proper series of maneuvers to arrive at and keep that station.

But I'm sure the first definition is what was intended.

  4. An orbital station is a manned or unmanned structure or habitat for the purpose of mirco-gravity experiments or human habitation.

Here is an example of a space station being planned for human habitation. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sundancer

  5. An orbital station is an artificial structure designed for humans to live in outer space.
