What is the definition of salary in Canada? BC in particular?

  1. It's the same as most places, you get a set amount of cash a year or month and the employer can work you like a dog to a sertan extent. A fixed salary compensates an employee for all non-overtime hours up to and including 44 hours a week. After 44 hours, the employee is entitled to overtime pay.

    A Salary is monies/goods/services earned for work performed.

    There are additional definitions in the general labour fource as well. "Salary" personnel are persons earning a straight salary, regardless of hours worked; where "Hourly" personnel are persons earing a wage per hour worked.
