I need to write an essay on genetically modified (GM) food. One of the points given is "commercial crops" and I don't know what it means.

  1. Commercial crops are cultivated in well ordered orchards and compact plantations.  The only reason they are there is for production of food or fiber.


  2. commercial crops are plants grow for profit; corn, soybeans, any other vegitabel

    hippies and overly concerned mothers have a problem with farms using genetic modifications on their plants to grow larger, tastier crops
