  1. Both Celsius and Fahrenheit are different scales. One bases itself on the freezing point of water(Fahrenheit) and the other bases itself at zer(Celsius).

    I hope that this helps you out.

  2. One interesting fact: minus 40 degrees F is minus 40 degrees C.

  3. The big numbers are 72 degrees fahrenheit is 22.2 C, 32F (freezing) is 0 degrees Celsius, and lastly 100C is 212F. There are a bunch of online calculators.

    Celsius --> Fahrenheit

    Multiply the Celsius number by 1.8 and then add 32. The result will give you the Fahrenheit equivalent.

    Fahrenheit --> Celsius

    Subtract by 32 then divide by 1.8

  4. How to convert Celsius temperatures to Fahrenheit

    Multiply the Celsius temperature by 9/5.

    Add 32o to adjust for the offset in the Fahrenheit scale.

    Example: convert 37o C to Fahrenheit.

    37 * 9/5 = 333/5 = 66.6

    66.6 + 32 = 98.6o F

    How to convert Celsius temperatures to Fahrenheit with mental math.

    Double the Celsius temperature (multiply by 2).

    Take 1/10 of this number (2 * 1/10 = 0.2) and subtract it from the number above.

    Add 32o to adjust for the offset in the Fahrenheit scale.
