What is the dependent variable in an expiriment testing which ice cream melts faster generic or breyers?

Independent variable is heat applied, or temperature.

Dependent Variable?  Thermal Migration - Law of dimishing return either or fits.

How fast does an object or substance change it's temperature to achieve the medium.

The ice cream is colder than the surrounding environment, if the enviroment has more heat energy than the ice cream has cold, the ice cream will achieve a "medium state" with it's environment.

Which one melts faster is going to be the one with the higher thermal transfer rate.  It achieves medium state easier than the other.  Better or worse... not sure if how fast ice cream melts improves the flavor.
