What is the description of interface name?

If your are talking Cisco, its an option you have under the configuration of the interface.  You can enter a “description”.  For example, say you have a 48 port gig switch.  Assuming you are connected via CLI and in enable mode:

Config t

Interface gig 0/1

Description ** interface that trunks to switch two**

Exit
