What is the detonation velocity of a nuclear bomb in feet per second preferably.?

Thanks... any nuclear weapon will do. I heard it can fracture quartz and is the only thing that can do so short of a giant meteorite. I looked everywhere online and cant find info on it.

  1. I don't think they rate nuclear explosions in terms of detonation velocity.  Most of the studies I've seen rate the physical shockwave in terms of blast overpressure and blast propagation velocity, not a detonation velocity.  The links below discuss the physics of a nuclear explosion, and none of them really talk about detonation velocity since the blast is so much bigger.  

    You might try googling "shocked quartz nuclear explosion" or strings of that sort to see if they have found shocked quartz as a result of all the testing they have done.
