Also, by acting heroic, it implies a one time deal.  If you are heroic, it's something you do frequently; it's part of who you are.

i think when u are being heroic, u do not necessarily want everyone to know all the good deeds uve done

but when u are acting heroicly, u want others to notice

Chances are if you are heroic or are being heroic you act  heroically. Heroic is an adjective to describe the person, heroically is an adverb to describe the way in which you act (describes a verb).
