  1. Rule websites are below.

Snooker is played on a bigger table (6 x 12 ft)  with pockets with rounded corners.  You have to alternately pocket red balls and colored balls.  The colored balls get spotted to a designated spot after you make them until all 15 reds have been cleared.  After that, you have to pocket the colored balls in numerical order.

Pool has some variations in the types of games.  8 ball and 9 ball are the most popular, but there's also one pocket, straight pool, banks, and ten ball.  The table is smaller (4.5 x 9 ft) and the balls are bigger.  In 8 ball, you have to pocket your group (stripes or solids, 7 each) and then pocket the 8 ball to win.  In 9-ball, you have to contact the lowest numbered ball first, but you can pocket any ball.  Whoever sinks the 9 ball first on a legal shot wins.  I won't go in to any more detail than that here unless you have specific questions.

To help you reach long shots, you use a mechanical bridge or a rest.  There are probably a couple other terms for it depending on where you go.

  2. hey im 14 and i can help you out a little....in snooker you have to pot a red then any colour apart from another red. after all reds have been potted, the order of colours goes yellow green brown  blue pink black. no "push shots" are allowed in snooker, only pool, and it is legal to use the "rest" or "spider" (i think thats the name of the other one.
