  1. Difference: Geography - NZ lies in the South Pacific, Canada lies in N America

Similarity: climate - Similar climates allthough Canada is a bit colder, both beautiful

Difference: culture - Canadian culture influenced by the US more, NZ by Britain more.

Similarity: both lie in the shadow of a larger neighbour - For Canada that would be the US, for NZ that would be Australia

Difference: Economic status - Canada has a much larger economy and is more powerful on a world stage, although both have a high standard of living and both are developed.

Similarity: anglosphere - Both speak English as a majority language, although French is widely spoken in Canada and Maori to NZ, English is more dominant.

Difference: Ethnic groups - again, While NZ has people from all over the place, it also has a large Maori population, Canada has immigrants from all over the world as well as their own native inhabitants. The NZ maori are more pronounced and in greater numbers than their north American cousins. Something like 10-20% (I think! Sorry I am not a Kiwi, all I know is that it is a large population)

Similarity: Geography - Both have beautiful nature and scenery, with snow peaked mountains and freshwater lakes green open spaces and untouched wildernesses.

Difference: Geography - Canada is geographically large and dwarfs NZ. NZ is also two islands and Canada is simply part of a continent.
