  1. if you can afford to think about putting a blower on a astra  try another approach think about a blown comodor v6 it will put a smile on your dial .if u are of your ps

  2. Turbo and super charger both stuff more air and fuel into the engine.

Turbo gets its power from the exhaust gas.  Super charger gets its power from the crankshaft.

Yes they can be put on any car.  But the car engine should be prepped (meaning the engine pistons and crankshaft made stronger withs heavy duty parts).

    Good Luck...

  3. on a holden apollo there is no point.

not worth the money and i doubt you'd find a kit or any information on it because noone who is sane would bother doing it.  if you have enough money for a supercharger put it towards a quicker car.

your engine will die, and the compression will be too high.

when you have forced induction you need to lower the compression ratio or the motor will detonate its brain out.

to do that you need internal engine work-  the whole thing would set you back several thousand dollars.

if you did it you wouldn't be able to get traction, and it would actually be dangerous to have big power going through the front wheels

  4. You can not eat a turbo charger but supper chargers are pretty good with fries

  5. my friend owns a sick ford thunderbird super charged..

    this thing is sick.....

it takes in the air straight to the engine....

  6. i agree with dirtytricksracing. supper's d**n nice with fries

  7. hi Amigo, Both Super/Turbo Charger compress air and Force it into the engine making it produce more power. SuperCharger runs of the Crankshaft usually by a belt and Turbo Charger Runs by recycling from the exhaust. Although a turbo produces only pure power it takes a while before the air makes it into the engine this is call turbo lag the turbo kicks in at higher RPM, Meanwhile the Super Charger Starts right away. Both can be mounted on any engine. Beware they might blow the engine if it hasnt been upgraded (usually using forged steel parts). Hope this helps amigo . In my opinion i like Superchargers better those seconds count when in a race . If you wanna know more goto howstuffworks.com and read the article on engines supercharger/turbo chargers how this anwsers you question. Caio amigo

  8. Turbo and Superchargers force more air into the engine to get better combustion.

Turbo Chargers run off the exhaust and only produce power. They can be mounted anywhere in the exhaust system but mainly are mounted on the exhaust manifold.

Superchargers run off the engine and draw power to make power. Because it is run from a belt, chain or gear it requires power draw off the engine.

Yes you can put them on any car. The only problem is the compression ratio of your engine. The higher it is the less pressure you can put into the engine and the more likely it is to fail.

Your best option is to talk to a Technician in that specific field. Anyone can say yeah we can do it put it on and blow your motor. Some one in the know can tell you exactly what would need to be done. And give you a cost.
