    A field of the branch ethnobotany of the science botany is the study of uses of a special plant or plant group or active agent.

    An example:The field foxgloves in ethnobotany includes:

    Different species of foxgloves contain different substances and - as a result - have different effects and uses in ( folk-) medicine.
