I have a member who post unacceptable message for the group and I removed him as a member instead of banning him. Is he still can send message to the group as he knows that email address of the our yahoo group?

Thanks

  1. If you remove a member, they just go out from the group, but some time later they can come back and send messages to you. If you ban them, they cannot do that - neither to your group nor to you. Here is how you can ban a member:

  2. If your group allows 'anyone' to post, non-members can send messages too.  If your group is set so 'members only' may post, he won't be able to post unless he rejoins, which he can do if you have only removed him.

If you never want him to rejoin, you should ban him and hope that he doesn't try to join with another address.

    Good luck.

  3. removing is just that and they can attempt to rejoin- banning prevents that Yahoo ID from joining again- either way they cant send messages to your group unless they're a member- either choice removes their subscription

How do I ban a member?

  4. when u remove, they can still contact u, but if u ban them they wont
