What is the difference between 1st & 2nd ODI matches SL Vs India ?

First thing is that the due played a big hand, In ist we batted first and in second match they batted first, so it was hard to bat first.

in match one we threw the wicket, where as in match two we made Sl loose wickets.

the difference was the pace bowling skills and batting skills in the first ODI and second ODI, in second ODI the seamers could do much better in the morning session and batters couldn't do much in first session!

First one was an emphatic ( by 8 wickets ) victory,

Second ODI was a consolation ( by 3 wickets) win ,

In explaining my reasonable speculation,.. the contrasting ways of achieving the target in those  2 matches had remarkable  DIFFERENCE !!

i would say,.  it concern the     manner in which THE VICTORY  was achieved..... While Sri Lanka coasted home with sheer clinical approach & ease  in the first ODI with captain cool Mahela & Kapugedara  alongside,

Where as ........INDIA lost early wickets, escaped from strangle hold ,again  lost few more due to over confidence, recovered once again , and later limped to the target   precariously with   M. S. Dhoni  who was  very cautious (though he got out in the crucial stage) and  29 year  old debutant S. Badrinath showed some maturity in supporting his captain ~

Praveen Kumar took 3 wickets for 34 runs which made a big diffrence compared to the bowling of Pragyan Ojha.

Zaheer Khan never bowled with such a fire in recent times.

Badrinath batted very sensibly.

For the next match, I suggest that Harbjan Singh and Rohit Sharma be rested and in their places, RP Singh and Gautam Gambhir be drafted.

simple difference !

Sri Lanka can be uprooted with in 10 overs , if the ball is new and the seamers are getting some help , as soon as the ball got old , third class cheap batsman like Tushara etc scored 40 + runs !

i hope Ishant would have been there, you would have been bowled out for less than 50 runs, lmao ~
