  1. Good question.

Spanish is a language. A Spaniard is a person who is from Spain or speaks Spanish. You can say "a spanish person" or you could just say "a spaniard" which means a spanish person.

Just so you know, all other spanish speaking countries and people that live there are not Spanish, they are "Hispanic." Or you may hear a lot of the time "Latino or Latina."

    Hope this helps!

  2. 'Spaniard' is a noun meaning a person from Spain.

'Spanish' can be a noun meaning the Spanish language, or it can be an adjective describing people, things, or concepts pertaining to Spain.

  3. "Spanish" is an adjective, whereas "Spaniard" is a noun.

e.g. "The Spanish waiter had a moustache" (i.e. the word "Spanish" modifies the word "waiter")

e.g. "The Spaniard rode a bike" (i.e. the "Spaniard" is the subject).

  4. I'm a Spaniard who speaks Spanish and who's also Spanish.

Spaniard is a noun, Spanish is an adjective and the name of the language.

  5. Spanish is the language of Spain and other countries.

Spaniards are the people from Spain.

  6. Spanish is the language that a spaniard speaks.
