  1. Well AP (advanced placement) classes could potentially earn you college credits but what your guidance counsler usually fails to tell you is that unless you get a 3 on the exam, no college will accept it, and even if you get a 3-5, most colleges don't accept it.  Often these classes and exams are expensive.  However, colleges will see that you took the advanced placement course and it may look better on your transcript that you opted for the more challenging workload.  I would say you probably won't be able to take both the honors and the AP version of the same class.  Good Luck.

  2. AP classes give u an extra 1 point to ur GPA allowing u 2 get a 5.0

Honors gives u an extra .5 point to ur GPA allowing u 2 get a 4.5

  3. An AP class means that if  you pass the AP exam with a 3,4,or 5 you receive college credit for the class and 10 points added to your final grade. An honors is an advanced class that will still look good an college AP , but if you can take the AP class I would recommend that.Yes you can take AP Earth/space science next year.

Most school want the B to be above an 85 at least.

  4. The difference is that AP is for college credit, and Honors is just for high school credit.  AP is going to be more difficult, and at the end of the class you take the AP test, and based on how you do on that test determines how many college credits you will get out of it.  The scoring is 1-5, with 5 being the highest.  That means you can usually skip taking a class when you get to college because you will have that credit.  But I think anything less than a 3 and you can't use the credit.  With Honors classes, it doesn't really help you as far as college credits, but colleges definitely will like your application more if you take Honors over remedial.  I don't know how your school works with grades, if a B is good enough or not.  Maybe you can call the guidance counselor, or send him/her an email?  Good luck!
