  1. Think of a bull's eye target

Accuracy would be getting values near the center, but spread all around the circle

Precision is getting all your answers in the same spot.  They don't have to be anywhere near the bull's eye, but your answers are very similar every time.

  2. Accuracy is getting as close as you can to your desired target or even hitting the exact spot.

Precision, is hitting a specific spot many times with similar results.

For example, if you throw ten darts and two of them hit bullseye but the rest are way off. You were accurate on only two ocasssions but your overall performance lacks precision.

Now if you throw the same ten darts and all of them hit 2 to 3 inches bellow the bullseye area in similar spots and some even hitting the exact same place. You had precision but you were innacurrate.

Therefore, you can be accurate but unprecise or precise with low accuracy. The ideal is that you combine both.

You want to hit your target as close as possible and you want to be able to do this every time you try.

I know is not a simple answer but I could not think of another way to explain it. sorry
