  1. Both  putting  up  candidates  in  the  local  elections.  Both  have  my  vote.

  2. You have gotten a number of responses here, but just so you know, rowlfe's is the only one that is correct.  Just to be clear, the Taliban are a nationalist organization, made up mostly of ethnic Pashtuns from southern Afghanistan and western Pakistan.  They practice a fundamentalist form of Sunni Islam called Wahabi. but they are not terrorists.

Al Qaeda, by contrast, is international, made up of many nationalities and ethnicities, even though their main base was in Afghanistan and continues to be located in the so-called "tribal areas" of eastern Afghanstan and western Pakistan.  There are also a number of "franchise" organizations around the world which, although they use the Al Qaeda name, are not directly controlled by the main Afghan-based branch.  They are indeed a terrorist organization that believes they are striking back at a Western/Christian/Jewish alliance whose intention is to destroy Islam.

They also seem to have as their goal the establishment of a Muslim "Caliphate," encompassing all Muslim nations from North Africa, across the Middle East and South Asia, as far as Indonesia.  This is considered more of a pipe dream than an achieveable reality, since Al Qaeda itself is essentially anarchic and therefore incapable of establishing that kind of organization.  Their use of violence against innocents is justified, in their belief, by descriptions of "jihad" in Islamic doctrine, although their beliefs are generally considered to be an adulteration of Islam.

  3. it depends what side of the border they are

  4. About 12 Shekels

  5. simple.

Taliban aim only on Afghanistan.  They will not cross their borders.

    whereas,

    Al-quada is worldwide.

    though both are terrorist,

    but,

Taliban are a small project and only Afghanistan is worry about Taliban

whereas, Al-quaeda is a big project and world is worrying about Al-quaeda

taliban's terrorism is less, but Al-quaeda is biggest.

  6. The spelling and where you stick the pin on the map identifying terrorist locations.

  7. The difference is in how each was formed and their purposes in what they do. Al-quaeda started out as an unorganized group of insurgents fighting an oppressive government in Iran and Iraq. Outside agents from other countries organized the rebels into a loose unofficial army of sorts, providing training and weapons. The US government was instrumental in the original network organization, training and arming in the Middle East. A lot of weapons used by Al-quaeda agents today, came from the US years ago. Since then, they have gone off on their own and taken on a different agenda. Yes, they have religious leanings, but that is secondary to the insurgency. The Taliban is strictly a religious fundamentalist organization and more of a political party that wants to impose their fundamentalist religious beliefs on others, by force, which is exactly what they did when in power in Afghanistan.
