All I've heard is a BA involves more human geography and a Bsc involves more physical, although the Bsc is more scientific.

I enjoy both Human & physical but I'd say I prefer Human but then again I'm probably more scientific.

I know the courses range from uni to uni, but could some1 give me a basic outline on the differences as I'm confused wether I should go for the BA/Bsc

  1. BA stands for Bad ***.

    Bsc stands for Basil-sprinkled cupcakes.

I for one can't stand basil on my cupcakes, and I'm a big fan of all things bad ***, so I'd go with the BA.

    Hope this helped.

  2. I agree with Max - Bsc will probably include more appropriate courses for an entry-level job after college.

But if you really want a competitive undergraduate degree try to take all the GIS/Remote Sensing classes offered and as much Computer Science and Mathematics classes as you can. An internship before your senior year will be also good.

If you are considering graduate degree after college - then just go for what you like most (BA or Bsc).

  3. Go for the Bsc.  It includes several human geography courses and helps you to obtain some technical skills that will give you an advantage in landing an entry-level geography job.
