What is the difference between Battleship and the electronic version?

I know the electronic version has got to be more fun. I thought of buying one, but don't want to shell out for the expensive price.

So, what are the differences in how it works?

you can not cheat in the electronic version. You program in where your ships are, and then you type in where you want to fire it not say it out loud.
