What is the difference between Canadian chocolate and American chocolate

I read in another question that Americana's like Canadian chocolate. I didn't realize there was a difference. Is there? What candy is different?

Neither country grows cacao and the same factories that mass produce finished product for Canadians do it for Americans too. Some product is very specific to certain demographic regions.

In America there are 3 major chocolate manufacturers,

Hershey

Nestles

Ghirardelli

but the maker of most major candy bars, Mars, who makes Snickers, Milky Way, and 3 Musketeers, to name a few, buys their chocolate from Hershey's.

since I have never tried Canadian chocolate i don't know if it is better or not.
