I burn DVDs and I just saw that DVD+RW is available in recordable DVDs. Which is better and why?

  1. Once you put something on a DVD-R you can add to it until the DVD is full. You can't erase what you put on it.

When you use a DVD-RW you can erase the files on it and re-use the DVD.

RW stands for rewritable and I think R stands for recordable.

    DVD-RW cost more than DVD-R

  2. DVD+RW= you can use and write DVD's multiple times

DVD+R = you can write data only once

DVD+RW is better as you can write / use it as many as time you can OR DVD in better condition.

  3. RW is rewriteable. You can go back and burn more data to it after burning it.

R is writable just once then it is closed out so you can't write again.
