What is the difference between Drive-Mapping and Synchronization in XP?

  1. In Drive Mapping, a remote drive will presented like a standard local drive (with letter, directly available in My Computer). Consider it as a shortcut.

    in Synchronization, XP tries to keep the files between synchronized folder are updated to each other, eg if u're working with a laptop and a desktop, when the synchronized files in your laptop are updated, they are copied to your desktop when you connect them.
