  1. Emf stands for Electro motive force.It basically represents the amount of work done in takin a unit positive charge particle from higher potential to lower potential.It gives the maximum possible voltage that can be obtained from a cell.However,the voltage we get from cell is called potential difference and not emf because there is always some potential drop in the wire due to resistance.

    Voltage=EMF - (Current X Resistance)

    Whereas Gravity is the acceleration with which a body is attracted by the earth!Gravity is only due to mass.If a body has large mass like that of planets, then its gravity has a finite value.Now question arises we also do have mass...then do we also attract each other???

    Every body in space attracts other body with a force which is directly proportional to product of masses of the two bodies an inversely proportional to square of the distance between them!

    There is no relationship between EMF and gravity,as per latest updates in science!

    I hope i wud have cleared your concepts regarding EMF and Gravity.

  2. EMF refers 2 electromotive force which is developed inside the cell when it is not in use i.e. when the cell is not connected n no current is being drawn out;

    GRAVITY refers 2 the attractive force between the masses.

  3. Actually there is no corelation between EMF & Gravity.

    EMF = Electro Magnetic field, is the field generated around a body when electricity flows through it.

    Gravity is just a force exerted by bodies on other bodies. For example the gravitation force of earth pull us down & we do not float in the air.

  4. EMF-Electro Motive Force: Caused by electro Magnetic Field

    Gravity: Result of attractive force of earth
