What is the difference between England and Walse?

I was living in Enlgand for a year or 2 and a friend and I went to Wales for the weekend......its actually very wierd how different they feel.....for a start as soon as you get there you start seeing the signs in welsh ( horrifying to see written) and english......there is a lot of history in both places and they are actually quite different.....there are lots of castles round wales...again have a different feel to england.....

I had a more relaxed feeling in Wales....even cardiff has a more relaxed feel to it than in other english cities.....

I found a lot of similarities with Welsh people and New Zealanders ( where I am from) as there is a Rugby culture in both and there are lots of sheep ( and lots of REALLY bad jokes about them!).....
