What is the difference between Forrest Griffin's title and Chuck Liddell's title?

Both are light-heavyweight champs, so now I'm completely confused. Does that mean there can be two, or does that mean that Chuck Liddell's is for the world and Forrest Griffin's is for the USA?

  1. Chuck Liddel does not hold the champion title any more. he is the former champion. Forrest is the current champion.

I.E. Chuck lost his title to Quinton Jackson and Quinton Jackson lost his title to Forrest Griffin.

So right now, Griffin is the champion.

  2. Jack's correct.  Chuck Liddell is a *former* UFC light-heavyweight champion as of last year.

  3. You are confused. Chuck Liddell lost his title to Rampage Jackson. Griffin just won it. There is only one.

  4. The main difference is Forrest won't be able to hold on to that title as long as Chuck did.

  5. your probably confused because when they introduce chuck liddell they say the former ufc lightheavy weight champion...he lost it to jackson....then he lost it to griffin
