What is the difference between Frontline Plus and Frontline Top Spot?

I'm from Trinidad (the caribbean) and for some reason the distributer that supplies the whole country with Frontline products is apparently having a problem bringing in Frontline Plus..I only used to use Frontline Plus but I was forced to buy the Frontline Top Spot because of the unavaiblity of the Plus.Will this one do just as good a job in killing ticks?( I'm having a tick problem)..kindly explain the difference.

I think the frontline top spot only works for fleas, while the "plus" works for fleas and ticks.

Ok I stand corrected.. they both do fleas and ticks.. however plus kills the flea eggs and larvae, while top spot only takes care of adult fleas

Frontline Plus has an extra ingredient that not only kills the adult fleas, but kills the larvae and eggs as well. The Top Spot doesnt' kill the eggs

Frontline Top Spot will only kill and repel the ticks and fleas.

Frontline Plus kills flea larva, and killls/repels ticks and fleas.  Its a bit better at handling an infestation.

Top Spot should work for a while, as long as you are not dealing with an infestation.

I've used Frontline Plus for 3yrs, and this year haven't had to use it once.... it might not be the frontline, it might be other factors, but I'm not ruling out the possiblity of Plus doing the trick for us.  We have it on hand just in case... great stuff.

the plus kills flea eggs. that is the difference.

If your dog has been on plus for months and months, and has to use top spot for a while, you shouldn't notice any difference.

both kill ticks.
