What is the difference between Halal cheese and non-Halal Cheese?

yes they wont have to kill the cheese, but do u know what ingredients they use to make cheese?Its the ingredients that make the cheese haram( if they use any haram ingredients)

I was doing a bit of volunteer work with a couple of Muslim ladies and a couple of non-Muslims.  We were preparing a buffet at school, so I asked about the cheese.

Apparently many cheeses contain rennet.  Rennet comes from cows, from their intestine....see link.

There is an alternative: cheese with enzyme instead of rennet.  Muslims eat the cheese with enzyme, not the one with rennet.

Look it up like millions of other Muslims.

Halal cheese is made with vegetable and dairy ingredients.

Many cheeses are made with rennet, which comes from the lining of a young calf's stomach (one that has never had anything except milk), and this calf has often not been killed in a halal manner. Other cheeses are made after the calf has been killed in a halal manner, or are made using vegetarian rennet. iIbuy vegetarian cheese on general principal.

I believe it's to do with a substance called rennent. A meat bi-product that is sometimes used in cheese production. There is a vegetarian alternative and the halal alternative would be using halal meat rennet.

If the halal one is more expensive, look for the vegetarian one becuase that's mainly the same price.

there is whey and rennet in making the cheese, sometimes these ingredients might come from a non halal animal (ie: pork/pig etc)..
