  1. I have to disagree with ROCK OUT...Chemistry honestly has nothing to do with Physics...I've taken both and trust me, nothing you learn in chem will help in physics and vice versa. Even the topic of Thermochemistry, which is covered in both classes, are completley different (actually, that was why I was really confused when we first started that section in physics, cuz I was still in my chem mind-set xDDD)

Chemistry in general will be a mixture of concepts and math...The first few weeks will be absurdly easy, stuff like "This is Carbon" and stuff like that. However, you'll wanna pay attnetion, cuz the rest of the class will stem off of these lessons, although the later classes will not be connected themselves.

Physics, on the other hand, is a lot more math based. There will still be some concepts involved, but I have knoown people that had no idea what they were doing but simply plugged stuff in the equations and pulled through with pretty decent A's (trust me, this is impossible in chemistry). And additionally, every builds up on each other (unlike in chemistry, where only a few topics are linked) so you do NOT want to get behind or just blow off a topic.

Good luck! I personally love both Chem and Physics (and the physics labs we did were awesome as well). HAVE FUN! xDD

  2. Chemistry is more about the formulas and forms the foundation for Physics. And physics is like the next step up, where you learn about theory and movement in relation to chemistry.
