What is the difference between IB diploma and advanced placement in high school? Which one is better and why?

IB is accepted world wide and you had to do more work to get it.

AP does not have a diploma and only gives you college credit in US and sometimes Canada.

Which one is better depends on what you are looking for. If you want hassle free college credit, take AP (IB, some schools take it, some (the goods schools take it though) schools don't and sometimes its if-y). The AP exams are multiple choice.

IB exams are essay tests and the benfits of doing the IB are really good. Scholarships, going to schools around the world, the pride of having 2 diplomas, college credit, being extremely well prepared for college, etc. Only thing is, it is a h**l of a lot of work.

So take your pick.
