  1. An LPN goes to school for a shorter amount of time so they may not make as much money . If he wants to work with babies, then RN would be the better choice because LPN are hardly ever hired at hospitals and do not generally work with babies ( Im talking about in delivery rooms). If he doesnt want to go to school that long he could try a PCT, they also get to work with babies, but its not the same pay. LPN generally starts at about $17-18/hr and up and I think the RN is usually $23/hr and up. It probably depends on what area  you are in because I know some nurses make a lot more than that hourly, but thats the starting wage usually.

  2. ~an RN is the way to go. They are in such big demand that you can practically pick what u want to do. LPN is just a little higher up than a CNA!

  3. You can become an LPN in 18 months and an RN you have to go to school for 2 years. Also and RN can do a little more but will get paid thousands more. My advice it to just be an RN. I met an LPN that settled and told me it was her regret.

  4. An LPN has a 2 year degree an RN has a Bachelor's Degree.  So they most likely get paid more, have a higher certification, and are qualified to do more.
