  1. MS, M.S., MSc, ScM (Latin), etc... are simply variable abbreviations for Master of Science.

Traditionally, MS is used more often in the US whereas MSc is used more often in Europe.  There is no hard-and-fast rule on which to use unless the college awarding the degree specifies.

The AP Stylebook prefers that we use "M.S." for Master of Science.

  3. are you talking about Multiple Sclerosis? ms or something else?

  4. MS is a master of science and a MSc I am assuming would be a Masters of Science in communication and sometimes I have seen a Master of Science on a rare occasion written as MSc. If you are looking at a communications program at the masters level then it is most likely a Masters of Science in communication. Otherwise there is no difference.
