What is the difference between Macgregor NVG2 irons and NVG2 Mid irons ?

Cary M is correct. The NVG2 Mid's are a designed for a little lower handicap player than the NVG2's. With the exception of some minor cosmetic differences, they both have basically the same clubhead with loft and lie being the same in both sets. The difference between the two clubs is in the hosel.

The NVG2 maintains a fairly high amount of offset on all clubs with with a fairly short hosel. Some of the heel of the iron actually extends past the hosel producing a very square setup and a very forgiving club.

The Mid's have a progressive offset throughout the set with a fair amount of offset in the long irons and almost no offset in the short irons. They also have a longer, more traditional looking hosel than the NVG2's. This makes these clubs a little easier to draw or fade, but it also makes it easier to have the clubhead turned a little at impact.

Both are very forgiving clubs.

Well, the answer above is actually backward....the regular NVG2 irons are for mid to high handicappers while the "mids" are for mid to low handicappers.  Greg Norman actually played the mids for awhile, seems like he wouldn't play the irons meant for high handicappers now would he?

The plain NVG2 irons are going to be a little bit less forgiving.  The "Mid" NVG2 irons are oversized, meaning in there's an exceptional amount of offset and the shaft is typically a little bit more flexible.  If you're a high handicapper, the NVG2 Mid are definitely your best bet.
