  1. In meiosis 1 In meiosis 1, the homologous chromosomes come together, exchange sections, split, and are then each drawn into a separate cell, each with the same number of chromosomes as the original cell. In meiosis 2, the chromosomes are simply drawn into new cells, halving the chromosome number.

but in meiosis 2 its is same as mitosis.

  3. meiosis starts after an interphase which is not very different from that of an intermitotic interphase...during the premitotic interphase DNA duplication has occured at the S phase..in the G2 phase of interphase apparently there is a decisive change that directs the cell towards meiosis, instead of mitosis..further in the beginning of the first meiotic division the nucleus of the meiocyte starts to swell up by absorbing the water from the cytoplasm and the nuclear volume increases abt the 3 folds..after these changes the cell passes to the first stage of first meiotic division which is known as prophase..the stages involved are.....

    1.prophase 1

    2.prometaphase

    3.metaphase 1

    4.anaphase1

    5.telophase1

at the end of telophase two haploid cells are formed...

    homotypic or second meiotic division

the homotypic or second meiotic division is actually the mitotic division which divides each haploid cell into 2 haploid cells..the second meiotic division includes following 4 stages...

    1.prohase2

    2.metaphase2

    3.anaphase2

    4.telophase2

at the end of meiosis 1.... 2 daughter cells are formed and at the end of 2nd meiotic division 4 daughetr cells are formed......

  4. THEY R D 2 STAGES OF CELL DIVISION.......GUESS SO...!?
