  1. National Capital Territory (NCT) refers to the geographical boundaries of the country capital of Delhi. It is where the state government operates. The NCT does not have control over the satellite towns near Delhi. As rightly said above, the MCD and NDMC would also operate within it,

    National Capital Region, (NCR) is a ter ussed to refer to the capital of delhi and its satellite towns of Noida, Gurgaon, Faridabad, Ghaziabad. It does not have any significant governmental or jurisdictional (grammar?) impact. It just takes the view of Delhi and the cities around it a cohesive feeling. The satellite towns are still governed by their state laws.

    We could say that NCT is official, and NCR is unofficial
