What is the difference between Nederland and Netherlands?

why do i sometimes find in my researches both names?

  1. Nederland is Dutch and Netherlands is English, same way Italia is Italy lol


  2. they both the same, one is in dutch/nederland one is in english/netherlands

    and to make it more confusing, they sometimes also call it Holland

  3. One is Dutch, one is English.

  5. "Nederland' is what Dutch call their own country and in English it is translated to "The Netherlands"

    It's like Germany is called Deutschland by Germans, and Spain is called España by the Spanish

    So it's not a problem to call it either.
