You Dems go on about Palin having no experience. What does Obama have besides his color? You really shouldn't go there with experience, because your guy lacks it in a big way.

  1. Obama sucks!

  2. 2 years of executive experience that Palin has and Obama does not

  3. Well before Palin got chosen that is all we heard from republicans....Obama is inexperienced blah blah blah....and then McCain goes and chooses a candidate with an experience level similar to his...I am kind of confused by this move after the big uproar concerning Obama's experience in politics....And just because Palin is V.P. doesnt mean she should have less experience...in fact it is smarter to have a v.p. with more experience to assist the president in making decisions and to be ready to step in in case they have to become president...

  4. Obama is running for President.  Palin is running for the position that works for the President.

In the interest of fairness, however, let's recap each politician's executive experience:

Palin has been the mayor of a town of 5,000, and the governor of a state of 600,000. Obama was the president of the Harvard Law Review, which this year has 91 members.

Now let's look at how they got to where they are:

Palin defeated the incumbent from her own party.  Obama defeated Alan Keyes.  In a liberal state.  When Keyes only had 3 months to campaign.

Some Obama supporters are evidently confused about his educational background.  Obama did not attend NYU.  As far as Harvard goes, well, Bush went to Harvard; did that make him a good President?

  5. obama has educational and employment experience that regard national issues.  Palin has lived in Alaska and studied Alaskan issues.  She is not as smart as Obama I guarantee you (go compare their educational histories).  Obama has studied and thought a ton about national issues.  Palin has not.  These are just a few differences. If palin and obama had a debate about national issues, Palin wouldn't even know where to begin on a lot of the questions.

PS I'm prob voting for mccain, but i might not vote at all- i was def for mccain before he picked palin

  6. palin

    university of idaho

    degree: journalism-communications

    mayor of 5,000

    governor of 600,000

    obama

    nyu;harvard

    law school

    president of harvard law review

community organizer in chicago Population: 2.38 million

state senator and national senator for 11 years

yea i can see how ppl confuse the two

  7. Differences: Palin supports death penalty while Obama is against it, Obama is for unlimited abortion even voted by planned-parenthood a perfect score of a 100, Palin opposes abortion, Obama favors g*y marriage while Palin opposes it while favoring the same legal benefits, Obama is against gun rights while Palin is for them, Palin is for reducing government spending while Obama is for expanding it.  When it comes to experience, I might have to give Palin an edge here just because she was a governor, which is an executive position and shes had short experience running something, however, Obama does not have that experience because his experience is more voting on stuff, which most of the time he does not give a straight vote.

The major difference is Obama is running for president whereas Palin is running for VP, so this depends on what you think is more valuable. VP is more of a figurehead if that, it doesn't really do anything. Palin will gain more experience while serving under McCain, Obama on other hand will gain experience while he is president, what is worse grooming somebody by letting them watch and gain experience or throwing somebody in right away?

  8. Palin admitted she doesn't know what a Vice President does all day. After she accepted the Vice Presidency slot.

Barack Obama is running for president, worked to run for president, and actually knows what it is a president does all day.

McCain's already barely a term away from the average life expectancy of a white male and, with all his experience, passed over far more experienced candidates to settle on Palin. So I guess experience is NOT so important for a president!

  9. well, one difference is that palin is for gun rights for all. do you want thugs running around your streets with guns? hunting, fine, but i think that gun rights for all takes it too far. i also personally don't believe in the whole prolife thing unless that is what the woman wants. she also has used her position in politics to fire people not in her jurisdiction for personal reasons! if obama has nothing going for him but the color of his skin (untrue), than the only thing going for palen is her status as a woman and mother.

  10. Obama has years of experience casting "present" votes and running for president.

Palin has years of experience doing things, taking on Big Oil, her own party, challenging the establishment, and being the executive in charge

  11. Obama was a legislator on the state and national level. Palin was the governor of a state with a very small population.

And -- folks, Palin is running for a totally different office.

  12. But he was a community organizer!

  13. The difference is so wide that the two shouldn't even be in the same sentence.

  14. Well I can think of two things....no, four.

  15. boy and girl

  16. Palin is an "inexperienced" person running for V.P.

Obama is an "inexperienced" person running for Pres.

  17. The ONE BIG DIFFERENCE :

Political shrewdness : Obama Yes  , Palin No
