What is the difference between Pepsi Cola and Coca Cola???

Well, I was afraid to say that I thought Coke was sweeter, just because everyone said it wasn't.. but I think it is. Coke is sweeter, milder, fizzier and carries a more vanilla tone to it.

Pepsi has a stronger personality but gives less fizz, it's underlying tone is definitely not vanilla.

There's not much difference to me but that's coming from a person that doesn't care much for niether, I prefer Mello Yello or Mountain Dew.

I don't find much of a difference.  I think that Pepsi is frizzier, I guess that's what you call it.  I prefer my soda on the flatter side.

I would say Pepsi has a crisper taste and bolder flavor.  Coca Cola is sweet and mild flavored.

Pepsi has a little sugar in it, as opposed to Coke, which is all high fructose corn syrup.

Unless, of course, it's kosher Coke (available during Passover--yay!) or you're in another country.

Then, they're sweetened with sugar instead of high fructose corn syrup and they're both better than their US counterparts.

Due to lobbying from the sugar industry and agricultural deals cut back in the Nixon era, sugar is crazy-expensive in the US, and soda manufacturers rarely use it, preferring high fructose corn syrup.

Which is responsible for the yucky aftertaste, btw.

Sugar-sweetened drinks are crisper and have zingier bubbles (though they seem to go flat faster.)  They taste better and are marginally better for you, as sucrose has a lower glycemic index than high-fructose corn syrup.

High-fructose corn syrup is evil!  Buy sugar-sweetened soda whenever you can!

Also, Coke has a weensy extract of de-cocainized coca leaves.

Though they left the caffeine in for ya.

Pepsi monkeys with its formula way too much, and now it tastes somewhat like RC.  Who knows what it'll taste like when they "new and improve" it again...
