  1. both very diffrent

  2. They want you to try both. Hence 2 diffetent names.

  3. Pretty much the name, and price.

  4. Spin rate off a driver. The Pro V1x has a little less spin than a standard Pro V. It is a little longer off the tee and has less bite on the approach shots

  5. Actually, they're not both 3 piece balls. The Pro V1x is a 4 piece ball. See the Titleist website.

Also, the differences are a little bit hard to define. According to Titleist, here are the specs on the V1/V1x:

    1. V1 is softer than the V1x.

    2. V1x is longer than V1 for "most golfers."

    3. V1 is more durable, because V1 is Titleist's most durable Tour ball.

    4. V1 is a 3-piece ball, V1x is a 4-piece ball.

    5. V1 has 392 dimples, V1x has 332. (Generally, lower dimple counts result in a higher ball flight)

According to Golf Magazine (February 2008 issue), as reported by Grouchy Golf Blog, here are some test results that may disagree with Titleist's assertions:

    1. V1x is softer than V1.

    2. V1x spins more than V1.

The following seems to be a fair comparison of the 2 balls:

    1. V1x spins more than V1.

    2. V1x is softer than V1.

    3. V1x is longer off the tee for most golfers.

    4. V1 is more durable than V1x.

    Hope this helps!

  6. the two balls are 3 peice

the pro v1 is softer for more spin on greens and more feel

the pro v1x sacrafices a tiny bit of feel ans spin for extra distance

i personally use the pro v1x as i dnt see the differance but only from the tee
