  1. to my understanding...

psychology = academic. centered more on the individual thinking , although group studies do occur. most often focuses on the more modern times and current mentality. more living people oriented. self employed or employed at health institutions.

anthropology= scientific. depending on which field, it is more about the past people. there are some 'urban' anthropologists who study people's networking, culture, biology, etc. of today. typically focusing on history. more 'dead' people oriented. employed by scientific institutions, museums, universities, etc.

sociology= usually academic. how people network. why people network. past or present focus. most often applied to the sociologist's time period (ie. a typical sociologist from today may not be concerned with studying the sociology of 1500 BC people.)

  2. Social anthropology focuses on how currently living human beings behave in social groups

It is accomplished mostly through field studies (including participant observation methods), observing the social organization of a particular people: customs, economic and political organization, law and conflict resolution, patterns of consumption and exchange, etc.

Psychology is an academic and applied discipline involving the scientific study of mental processes and behavior.

Sociology is is the scientific study of society, including patterns of social relationships, social interaction, and culture, in a much larger setting.
