  1. Movies are recorded at 24 frames per second. TVs refresh at 60 frames per second. To play a movie on a TV you must adapt 24 frames to 60 frames some how. In the past this was done with a technique known as 3:2 Cinema Pull Down. How this worked is that a movie frame would be read and then repeated on the TV screen 3 times. The next movie frame would then be repeated on screen 2 times. This on screen alternating repetion of movie frames does result in a frame rate of 60, but it also cause uneven motion which is known as "Judder". The new "Cinema Drive" feature takes advantage of the 120 Hz refresh rate of your TV to produce an even movie motion. 24 divides evenly into 120 (it equals 5). Now each movie frame can be repeated on the TV screen 5 times before the next movie frame is read and you will not see uneven motion or "Judder". Most people do not notice Judder but it is there in the older Cinema Pull Down techniques. Motion Flow also uses 120 Hz but its goal is to compensate for slow switching  LCDs and help eliminate motion blur and jitter of fast moving objectes on screen.
